about

Inspired by synthesized music of the 70s and 80s, (Giorgio Moroder, Jan Hammer, Harold Faltermeyer), Mr. Nissness produces an instrumental sound that is both nostalgic and euphoric. As many children of the 80s, he spent a large part of his time playing video games, from which his musical style has also been heavily influenced. Additionally, signature guitar solos throughout his works tie his unique, yet familiar sound together.

The four song EP, entitled Formative Epoch reflects a sentimental journey to reconnect with those long lost, carefree days of his youth. Nightfall / Emissary (which can also be heard on the Memories of the Future Compilation), captures the feeling of an 80s neo-noir crime drama anthem, while Departure parallels electronic compositions one might hear in the soundtrack to a John Hughes movie. Failure Embrace exhibits all the characteristics an 80s synth-pop tune. To conclude the EP, Formative Epoch is a classic 8-bit instrumental ballad. Formative Epoch is Mr. Nissness’ debut release.
