Initially this may sound like it's gonna be a kind of synthpop retro album. Yes, it's definitely electronic music, but "pop" is not an accurate adjective. There is an underlying darkness, almost menacing in its quality. Not as overtly aggressive as most electro-industrial music (Skinny Puppy, Velvet Acid Christ, et al), I think the phrase "passive aggressive" fits rather nicely. Heavily treated vocals add strength to the observation too.
